The Light Which Shines From Within is a large scale close up of a pure white lily, referred to as a Madonna Roselily, in full bloom against a glowing green ombré background. Painted using layers of thin glazed of oil paint to build a deep and rich opacity to each petal, with the bright white enhanced by the spring green detailing, adding crisp freshness to the soft flower. the piece resonates with minimal colours and tones, depicting the freshness and beauty of the flower. The deep verdegris background blends to a dark finish around the edges in a smooth ombre transition, lifting the flower forward towards the eye, and extends onto the edges of the canvas, designed to be hung unframed.

The Vert de Gris collection features white flowers against a deep, near black verdegris background, depicting both the delicate nature and organic geometry of the subject with a fresh lens.
