Frequently Asked Questions
1. How soon can I get an appointment?
I work on a waiting list system, and I cannot be exact in how long it is as there are many factors that can affect my schedule, but please be prepared to wait around 10-12 months. Regular or returning customers and those of you who travel from outside the UK, I will do my best to get you in sooner or at a time that works with your travels. You will have to pay a deposit to secure your appointment/s.
2. How far in advance will I get my appointment date/s?
I only arrange my schedule for a couple of months in advance at a time. You will probably get a phone call or email to book in your appointment/s 1 or 2 months before the actual dates. Please do not keep emailing me once you are on my list, it just takes time away from working through my list when I have to keep replying that you will get a call, just not yet!
3. Can I go on a cancellation list?
Yes! Cancellations do crop up, but they can be at very short notice, so if you are not flexible or local, it may not work for you. I usually post details of cancellations on Instagram and Twitter, but give priority to those on my cancellation/waiting lists. I also cannot guarantee you’ll get a cancellation that works for you, so don’t rely on it, you may still have to wait!
4. When will I be able to see a design?
If you need to view your design before your appointment, it will be ready around 1 week before your appointment, unless we arrange otherwise. I’m sure you appreciate that I wouldn’t be thinking about someone else’s tattoo when I’m working on yours, so please don’t expect me to be thinking about yours when I’m working on someone else’s!
5. I sent you reference, did you get it?
If you sent it to me directly, yes I did. I don’t work at a computer, so I cannot reply to every email as soon as it comes. Please trust that I have received your images, links or reference, and that it is safely stored ready for me to use.
6. Will you do a design for me?
I WILL NOT DESIGN A TATTOO FOR YOU TO GET DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE. This is for 2 main reasons. Firstly, I do not have the time; when I’m not tattooing, I’m working on designs for my tattoos, on a week-by-week basis, or on my other art/design/written projects. Or I’m trying to have a life. Secondly, I can’t guarantee that whoever does your tattoo will be able to do a good job, so I don’t want my work associated with a poorly executed tattoo. Please remember, a good tattoo is not just about a good design, it’s about a good execution.
7. Can I see you for a consultation? Do I have to pay for it?
Yes, please do, it is often easier to discuss designs etc face to face. Obviously if you are not local to my base in London we can plan via email, but if you are based in or around London, or can make the trip to see me, I will let you know what availability I have for consultation appointments and we can book something in for you. CONSULTATIONS ARE FREE OF CHARGE!
8. What happens if I cannot make my appointment?
Please try and give at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment or consultation. You will lose your deposit if you do not give 48 hours notice, it is a studio regulation and I cannot do anything about it. If you cannot make a consultation, or if you change your mind, please let me know so that I can give the appointment to someone else, or simply so I’m not waiting around when I could be doing something else with my time!
9. Can I commission some artwork or a custom engraved necklace?
YES! Of course. Just message me via the contact form and we can start working on something magical for you!
